lyrics
Text & English Translation
V. Per omnia sæcula sæculorum.
R. Amen.
V. Dominus vobiscum.
R. Et cum spiritu tuo.
V. Sursum corda.
R. Habemus ad Dominum.
V. Gratias agamus Domino Deo nostro.
V. World without end.
R. Amen.
V. The Lord be with you.
R. And also with you.
V. Lift up your hearts.
R. We have lifted them up to the Lord.
V. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
R. It is meet and right to do so.
It is truly meet and just, right, and availing unto salvation but especially on this day, we should extol your glory, Lord, when Christ our Passover was sacrificed; for he is the true Lamb who has taken away the sins of the world; who by dying overcame our death, and by rising again, restored our life. And therefore, with the angels and archangels, with thrones and dominions, and with all the heavenly hosts, we sing a hymn to your glory, saying without ceasing:
